A.W. Tozer’s ability to capture complex thoughts with simple, yet profound explanations can be found all throughout this book. It is a very quick and easy read, but you will gain invaluable knowledge and understanding of the nature of God.
Each chapter deals with a biblical teaching of the nature and character of the Lord in short, concise ways. However, unlike some short reads, nothing presented in this book is a “watered-down” version of the truth. Tozer simply displays a gift for teaching about the character of the Lord revealed to us throughout the Scriptures. Tozer provides a book that can help you achieve what he says is one of the greatest things a Christian can do: think rightly about God.
This book will not only give you more understanding and knowledge as a student pastor; it will be an unbelievable resource for your students to grow in their personal walk with God. Few books will give your students a more solid foundational teaching on the nature of God. Tozer’s topics range from the holiness of God, all the way to his love and mercy. While some books focus only on certain characteristics, he does an amazing job of weaving together
a beautiful picture of who our God is: just, yet full of grace, holy and all-knowing, yet loving and intimate. The Knowledge of the Holy is a must read for you and your students!
